FIRE SAFETY TRAINING FOR SITE MANAGERS

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires employers to:

"make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to which relevant persons are exposed for the purpose of identifying the general fire precautions he needs to take to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed on him by or under this [fire safety] Order"

Safetymark have therefore created this course to enable site manager to undertake their own fire risk assessments. The course explains an employers duties as they relate to construction work and provide guidance on the undertaking of a suitable fire safety risk assessment and undertaking the preventive and protective measures.

STANDARDS

This course follows the standards set out in the HSG168 Fire safety in construction published by HSE Books.

DESIGNED FOR

This course is ideal for Site Managers and other construction professionals who require an introduction to the key principles of fire prevention, fire protection and fire risk assessment on construction site. With responsibility for fire safety management at management or site supervisory level, it will enable you to develop skills and knowledge in support of your role.

• Section 9 Multi storey buildings

COURSE DURATION

This is a 1/2 day course. It can be held at our training facilities, at your training facilities or at your construction site.

In-house training courses start at £350. Actual cost will depend on location and travel costs. We recommend a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 delegates per course.

NEED TO COMPLETE A FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT QUICKLY?

Why not combine on site training with a mentored risk assessment. We run the course at your site in the morning and then undertake the site fire risk assessment in the afternoon with the delegate(s). This training costs from £600 + VAT and travel expenses; less than some charge to undertake a fire risk assessment. Provide us with a logo and we will customise our fire risk assessment template for you to use on future projects.

CPD COURSES

CPD training courses start at £100. Actual cost will depend on location and travel costs and number of delegates. We recommend a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 delegates per course.
