Welfare
•Clients do not have to provide welfare arrangements for construction workers, but if
there are
particular constraints which make it particularly difficult for facilities to be provided, the
client should
co-operate with contractors to assist them with their arrangements
•On notifiable projects the client must ensure
that the
construction phase does not start until the Principal Contractor has made suitable arrangements for suitable welfare facilities
to be present from
the start of the construction phase
